Whether you are new to the community, returning to church, or coming for the first time, we would be honored to have you as our guest. Brookwood is a place where you can connect with God and connect with others.  A list of our ministries for individuals, families, and groups can be found on our Ministries page.  Come and see what Brookwood is all about.  There is a place for you here!

 

On Sunday our worship services begin at 11:00am and 6:00pm.  Sunday school starts at 9:30am.  On Wednesday night our Bible study and prayer time begins at 7:00pm.  We have many other events going on throughout the week.  Check our Calendar and our Explore Brookwood page for more information.

 

We are located at the intersection of Henderson Drive and Doris Avenue in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  Our address is 903 Henderson Drive.  We are just a few blocks away from Jacksonville High School and the main branch of the Onslow County Library.  

 

 

You will be our honored guest!  There is ample parking on both sides of the church and in the back.  There will be people at the doors to welcome you.  They will help you get to a Sunday school class or will show you where to drop off your children.  Some of our members dress up in suits and dresses and others dress in more comfortable clothes.  You may dress as you like; we will just be glad you joined us!   We will not draw attention to you or single you out in the service.  There is a time during the service where people walk around and shake hands.  You will probably have some members come up to you to welcome you during that time.  There is a portion of our bulletin that we would like you to fill out so that we know you were visiting our church.  Just tear off that section and put it in the offering plate as it comes by you.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask anyone.  We have lots of friendly people at Brookwood! 

 

During Sunday school, we have age appropriate classes for every child.  Please see a member of the welcome team when you walk in the door and they will take you to the classrooms or look on the children's page to find their classroom numbers.  During the Sunday morning service, our nursery is available for ages birth-5 years.  Children who are in first grade and higher should go into the sanctuary with you.  The pastor will do a children's sermon where he requests that the children come up and sit on the front pew on the right side (organ side) of the church.  After the short lesson, children who are 6-8 years old will follow their teacher to children's church in room 212.  Ages 9 and up will stay in the service with you.  There are special brochures printed each week that have fun activities on them for your kids.  Just ask the ushers for one when you come in.  On Wednesday nights, we have missions programs for children from birth-high school while the adults are in the fellowship hall for the prayer meeting/Bible study.  Again, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask someone.
